About Bug Juice

Bug Juice is an additive for paint which infers insect control properties for the painted surface. It was developed by Renovo Technologies in conjunction with a US partner and is manufactured by Renovo Technoloiges here in New Zealand.

It will easily mix with any type of standard decorative paint and when insects crawl or land on the surface it either causes mortality or repels from them from the surface, depending on the insect size and susceptibility to the active ingredient in Bug Juice.

It can last for up to 2-4 years in the coating giving long term protection to painted surfaces and is ideal for fences or other painted surfaces where insects and spiders cause problems.

How to Use

Bug Juice is added to paint using the provided measuring cylinder at a rate of 13 ml per litre of paint. This should be well mixed and then painted onto the surface as usual with a roller or brush. Bug juice is only required to be put into the top coat of paint and the because the active ingredient is degraded in the wet paint, it should be applied within 5 hours of mixing. The active ingredient is very stable in the dried paint film after it has been applied to a surface.
